Solo Endurance of 1929 70th Anniversary of World Record Refueling Flight with Eleanor Smith
During November 27th through 29th, 1929, Bobbi Trout and Eleanor Smith set a world record refueling flight of 42 hours and 20 minutes in the air. The stamp was hand-cancelled by the post office in Los Angeles, CA on November 27, 1999. The painting on the cover is by aviation artist Nixon Galloway, who won the Ann Cooper award at the ASAA Forum in Seattle for his depiction of Bobbi and Eleanor's in-flight refueling. (Bobbi's point of interest: Nixon Galloway is the grandson of Pop Burdett, who owned a flight school and was Bobbi's first flight instructor.)

Cost: $79.95 each
Quantity available: 101

70th Anniversary of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport
Thousands of people attended the opening day of the Burbank Airport in 1930. A Women's Air Race was part of the festivities. Bobbi Trout won the race and was presented the trophy. The envelope shows a recent photo of Bobbi "thinking" about that infamous opening day in 1930, and the stamp was cancelled on May 30, 2000. (Bobbi's point of interest: The cover was cancelled at the main post office in Burbank, CA, the only office that uses a movie camera as a cancellation seal.)

Cost: $59.95 each
Quantity available: 109

70th Anniversary of World Refueling Record Flight with Edna May Cooper
During January 4th through the 9th, 1931, Bobbi Trout and Edna May Cooper set a refueling record of 123 hours! The envelope shows artist John Sanfield's version of the Lady Rolph in the air with a parachute stuck to the tail of the airplane. Bobbi's four-page story of the near-disastrous event is enclosed. The stamp was hand-cancelled by the post office in Los Angeles, CA on January 4, 1999.

Cost: $59.95 each
Quantity available: 123
